London Transport Museum
Poster Gallery

Fabrication: Marcus Hall Props
Designer: Damien Stanton
Lighting Design: Lewis Hannaby

For the London Transport Museum’s Global Poster Gallery, Lewis developed the lighting approach for a bespoke zoetrope-inspired installation created in collaboration with designer Damien Stanton. Lewis designed the specification for self-illuminated Johnston lettering and an internal lighting system that gives the suspended poster details a soft, even glow without hotspots or glare. A custom control system drives a slow, shifting colour palette that nods to the museum’s spectrum identity, creating a luminous introduction to more than a century of transport poster design.
